An aesthetically designed engineering marvel, Kharghar railway station has parking facility for 450 cars and 750 two wheelers on its roof: the first of its kind in India.

CIDCO is set to develop a city-level recreational park of global standards at Kharghar. The proposed park will be in line with Hyde Park of London and Central Park of New York. This park will have jogging tracks, walkways, a stadium, amusement park, sports complex, clubs, botanical garden, recreation garden and much more.

CIDCO had organized an essay contest on the subject 'The Science Park of My Dreams'. Concepts from these essays will be used to shape up this unique park in Navi Mumbai.
